it WILL BE FORGOTTEN

For several seasons, I have been photographing a remote community of shepherds
in the Polish Tatra Mountains.

Over the years, two of the
shepherds I photographed died —
one from cancer, the other by suicide.
Their deaths completely changed my relationship to the project
and the way I now read the images.

Gradually, the work became a personal reflection on masculinity, isolation,
tenderness and disappearance.
